An over the air (OTA) update is now available that fixes the low volume issues. The update is 14MB in size and takes about 2 minutes to install.
Update process:
1. Open settings
2. Scroll down to 'About phone'
3. Choose 'Online upgrade'
4. Choose 'Firmware upgrade'
This will download the update and it can be installed immediately or at a later date.

Now please could someone recommend the LOUDEST, MOST PENETRATING ringtone as my work is often noisy and even the up grade won't help much. I tried using a bluetooth earpiece but people thought I was deaf.

my g300 fails to work on wifi, it connects correctly but when I try to go on line it says no connection , I have revisited vodafone Many times, and tried there help lines, but still have a problem. any HELP out there, Please.

I bought one of these phones last week on the understanding that this issue had been resolved with a firmware update. If it has then I found it certainly did nothing to make the volume acceptable, in fact the ringtones were so low I missed numerous calls and messages. Surely this is an issue that both Vodafone and Huawei should still be working on. You will guess I returned the phone, but must add for £100 other than this volume issue I think it extremely good value

I agree with you it is still very poor and I spent ages downloading ringtones to get something acceptable. As it is you would miss calls and messages unless you are blessed with miracle hearing

The 'gorilla' refers to the type of screen protection which is also the best and most in common! Amoled is the type of screen quality as there is also LCD IPS.In comparison of the two the amoled is saturated and has better power efficiency but IPS LCD has more sharpness and less color which i believe is more natural!

budget -SET MAX and if more than £100 -then set sights on non g300 handset . try SEE HEAR FEEL QUALITY and BRAND before buying . ext speaker sound quality and VOLUME barely tolerable .

I got this phone yesterday, and is to look at a beautiful phone for the outlay there are negatives like horrible keyboard and iffy web connection when using WAP l
When not near your router.
However I would put up with these negatives considering the price, but although the firmware is the latest issue the ringer and message volume is diabolical to say the least
Regretfully I am not happy spending hundreds on a phone, so shall stick with my Nokia E63 and return this phone to Vodafone.
I respect your views as should other people We are all entitled to our opinions and insults are disgusting from very small minds
