Laagi Tujhse Lagan is a Indian soap opera and the story is about a young girl who hides herself to protect from local gangsters. It was telecasted in Colors TV in Hindi, Maa TV as Vasantha kokila and in Polimer TV as Aval Oru Thodarkathai in regional languages. Also it rebroadcasted on Mauritius television channel MBC Digital 4. Written by many writers and mention to few are Jayesh Patil, Nandini Arora, Vinod Ranganathan.
The story mainly takes place at an area in Mumbai called Sagar Kutir which is not preferred by the residents. Nakusha is a house maid in one of the houses in the area of Sagar Kutir. Nakusha looks dark and lives with her mother Babi, father Ganpat, younger brother Sethji. But in reality she is not dark. She pretends to be balck and hides her beauty to avoid any one to take advantage of it. This is because the same bitter experience has happened in her elder sister’s life. The truth comes to lime light when an evil police officer Malmal More chases Nakusha once. And so, Nakusha is forced to get engaged with Malmal More. Exactly on the day of engagement, Nakusha’s mother Babi comes to know about a horrible fact that Malmal More is going to sell Nakusha to Dubai. So Nakusha along with her family flew from Malmal More to survive. Did she survive? What happened to her destiny is the rest of the story in the serial. The serial ran for 512 episodes during 2009-2012. The serial bagged few awards like, 2010 - ITA Best Actor Popular Award, Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
