Quite a while back, far away on the planet of Cybertron, a war is being pursued between the honorable Autobots (drove by the astute Optimus Prime) and the mischievous Decepticons (charged by the feared Megatron) for control over the Allspark, a supernatural talisman that would allow boundless energy to whoever has it. The Autobots figured out how to sneak the Allspark off the planet, yet Megatron takes off looking for it. He in the long run tracks it to the planet of Earth (around 1850), however his careless craving for force sends him directly into the Arctic Ocean, and the sheer cool drives him into a deadened state. His body is later found by Captain Archibald Witwicky, yet before going into an incapacitated state Megatron utilizes the remainder of his vitality to etch into the Captain’s glasses a guide demonstrating the area of the Allspark, and to send a transmission to Cybertron.
